Its latest episode being elite The episode, now online titled “For the Win,” features a scene in which Young Box discusses the death of Jay Briscoe. Briscoe died last week at the age of 38.

The box exchange from the episode (and the episode itself) can be seen below:

Matt: “What a rough 24 hours it has been. I don’t even know how I’m going to wrestle tonight.”

Nick: “I feel the exact same way. We lost a very good friend, a brother, someone we loved very much and we shared the ring many times.”

Matt: “I don’t think we’ve wrestled any other tag team than we wrestled the Briscoe Brothers.”

Nick: “We love Jay. Our hearts are broken right now. I’m still shocked. We’ve been talking about him the entire drive so far. It’s going to be tough wrestling on TV today.”

Matt: “I don’t know how we’re going to do it. I was telling Dana, I said, ‘I don’t know how I’m going to do it.’ He just said, ‘When something like this happens, maybe it’s good to have people around who know him so you can talk about him.’

Nick: “Today, it’s completely voluntary for wrestlers to come to the show because a lot of us, we’ve come into the business with him, a lot of the current AEW roster. Obviously we also own ROH, so a lot of his brothers work in our locker room. So it would be nice to see all the close wrestlers who were friends with him. But it’s a hard day. It’s weird, I was saying Matt [that] It hurts more than the death of my own family and in the last two years I have lost several family members, grandparents, uncles…”

Matt: “You go through this bond where you wrestle someone, it’s such an intimate experience. You go through that, and there’s a lot of stress, and you hold their lives in your hands. When you go through that, it’s something you don’t understand unless you’re a wrestler, and he was one of the good ones.”

Nick: “He wasn’t just a great wrestler. He was a great man.”
