The Capitals survived the first blow to finish on a high note

Pretoria Capitals gave a big blow early in their chase as opening batter Phil Salt was sent packing for a golden duck on the first delivery of the innings. Phil Salt tried to take an aerial shot off Kyle Myers’ first delivery but was caught at mid-off. The first over saw all the drama as Theunis de Bruyne survived the scare to get out not once but twice as he entered the crease.

It was a Will Jacks show back then. He took on the opposition bowlers and scored a brilliant half-century. His 25-ball 56 included five fours and four sixes while batting at a strike rate of 224. He was dismissed off the last ball of the seventh over but covered a large portion of the chase before walking.

Theunis De Bruyne scored the winning run for Pretoria Capitals when he finished with a boundary. Pretoria Capitals secured a very comfortable eight-wicket victory, and they continue to dominate the top spot of the points table and further increase their tally.
