Team India defeated New Zealand in the third ODI and whitewashed the Black Caps in a three-match series at the Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bowl first, but the decision went horribly wrong, with India putting up a strong batting performance. The opening pair Good luck Gill And Rohit Sharma Both completely dominated the proceedings with their respective centuries.
While Gill scored 112 off 78 balls with 13 fours and 5 sixes, skipper Rohit scored 101 off 85 balls, which included 9 fours and 6 sixes. Skilled in all aspects Hardik Pandya A late flourish with a slamming 54 off 38 balls, 3 boundaries and a maximum in 50 overs to take India’s total to 385/9.
New Zealand in reply Devon Conway Smashed a fighting century but didn’t get enough support from the rest of the batsmen as the visitors collapsed for 90 runs. Conway scored 138 off 100 balls, including 12 fours and 8 sixes. For the hosts, Shardul Tagore (3/45) and Kuldeep Yadav (3/62) took three wickets each Yuzvendra Chahal (2/43) Two skull bags.
Shardul was adjudged Player of the Match for his brilliant performance, and opener Shubman was adjudged Player of the Series for his consistent performances across the three ODIs.
