Transparency and confidence are so important – Joe Root

Former England Test captain, Joe Root believes that their strong batting line-up is the key to their success in white-ball cricket. Root said they need to move forward as a cohesive team, gain confidence and develop as a team.

“Transparency and confidence are very important. You look at groups of white balls. We have the depth of strength, we have the number of players. They come in groups and perform from the word go. A big reason for this is the great competition. There is a lot of talent in the team and the players are able to cover a lot of bases. In Test cricket, everyone goes out there and plays in the moment.” said Joe Root.
