The WWE Hall of Famer files trademarks for two of his tricks

Charles Wright, better known as The Godfather of the Ring, is best known for his tenure with the WWF in the 1990s and early 2000s. Wright went through several strategic changes, most notably Papa Sango, Kama, Kama Mustafa, The Godfather and The Goodfather.

On January 18, Wright filed to trademark two of his former wrestling personalities, namely, The Godfather and Papa Sango. The filing reads:

“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling shows and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; entertainment services, namely, live appearances by professional wrestling and sports entertainment personalities; entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainer; entertainment services, namely, television appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestler and sports entertainment in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.

The Godfather last competed for WWE in 2013, making a surprise appearance during the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. Wright was later inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016.
