The ICC has unveiled the men’s Test squad for 2022, with Ben Stokes named as the team’s captain

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the men’s Test squad for 2022 on Tuesday, January 24. This was the last ICC Special XI for last year, as they had already announced ICC T20 Team of the Year and ICC ODI Team of the Year 2022.

There are four players in the ICC’s longest format squad Australiafollowed by three from England and one from each India, Pakistan, South Africa And West Indies.

England captain Ben Stokes was announced as the captain of the team, on the other hand of India Rishabh Pant Was taken as a wicket keeper in the team. Meanwhile, the number one test bowler in the world Pat Cummins and top batter Marnus Labuschagne Australia also made it to the line-up.

Babar Azam of Pakistan, who was named captain ICC ODI Team of the Year 2022, also made it to the Test Team of the Year. On that note, let’s look at the 2022 Test team.
