Shubman Gill answers Virat Kohli’s question on his watch, wins the internet

India’s star batsman Virat Kohli is an inspiration for every young cricketer. The 34-year-old has been seen spending time with the young players on several occasions and helping them by giving them advice. Not only on the field, but also off the field, this veteran batsman has connected well with the new generation.

Recently, her friendly social media exchange with India’s rising star Shubman Gill has become a buzz topic across the internet. A few days ago, Gill posted a picture of herself on her personal Instagram handle. She posed in front of the camera in a stylish avatar for the brand shoot. Among the numerous responses to the comments, one caught the attention of the users and it was Kohli’s reply to the post.

From the person behind the lens to her makeup artist, Gill credited everyone involved with the project in the caption. But, Kohli pointed to the wristwatch that can be seen on the 23-year-old’s left hand. In the comment section, he asked, “And you will see? By whom?” Gill commented, “Courtesy of the King.” Although the hint was subtle, it was clear to fans that Gill was talking about none other than Kohli, who is widely recognized as “King Kohli”.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Gill has received a special gift from Virat Kohli. Earlier, in another promotional shoot for GQ, Gill was captured in an uber-cool look. In the opening encounter, Gill emerged as the hero, leading the batting unit single-handedly His explosive knock of 208 runs.

In the second match, the Rohit Sharma-led side won comfortably courtesy of a commendable bowling performance by the Indian bowlers. On the other hand, Kohli, who has been in great form in recent times, is yet to do anything special against the Kiwis.
