Shawn Michaels A part of it has been WWE For a long time and he has seen the company go through many important changes. Perhaps the biggest was when the promotion moved from taped shows to live television with the January 11, 1993 episode. HBK not only witnessed this change but he was a part of it. Former world champion and Shelton Benjamin was the latest guest all of a sudden. Celebrating 30 years of WWE’s flagship show, the pair discussed the different stages of Raw’s evolution. Reflecting on the transition to live television, Michaels explained that its biggest challenge was the transition to commercials:
“Live television, of course, as Shelton can attest, we’ve come a long way now as far as knowing the commercial breaks and knowing how you get there, timing and things like that.” Shawn Michaels says, “Really the hardest transition was understanding live television, going to commercials, coming back from commercials.
Knowing when you’re in and out of ad is how you communicate. You have all these things already going through your head in a wrestling match, the added element of live television was something that was really impressive and ground breaking for me at the time. But again, it’s all, a wonderful journey [have] able to do [be] The part is special.”
WWE will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Raw on the Jan. 23 episode of the show. In addition to Shawn Michaels, the episode will feature legends as well The Undertaker, Ric FlairKurt Angle and more.
