Santino Marella debuted as Impact Wrestling’s new authority figure at the January 13 Hard to Kill pay-per-view event. Marella replaces Scott D’Amore, who is currently on the shelf after being beaten by Bully Ray prior to the event.
Marella’s daughter, Ariana Grace, competed in several beauty pageants and wrestled for independent promotions before signing with WWE NXT in April 2022.
“Two, three years from now he’s going to be the top dog in the division… [Charlotte Flair] It came to me, ‘I love your daughter, I love what she’s doing, we’re watching her.’
“When I go to AEW or Impact or WWE, everyone always just comments on my daughter and how she’s doing and they see her. There is a lot of focus on him. Everyone is watching [on her], because everyone knows what he’s capable of, so it’s good people. It’s about him now.”
Arianna’s push was derailed after a torn ACL that required surgery. Earlier this month, the young second generation talent announced that he is recovering well and fast.
