Road Dogg: Asuka should be the Roman Reigns of women’s wrestling

Is it Asuka’s time to become the undefeated force dominating WWE NXT? ‘Road Dog’ Jesse James certainly believes so.

Asuka, who previously competed as Kana, debuted for WWE in late 2015 and would go undefeated for two and a half years before her loss to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34.

on him ‘Oh you don’t know’ podcast, James talks about the empress of tomorrow and his belief that she should be booked similar to Roman Reigns.

“I think as far as presentation, ring skills, dare I say promotion skills because I love what he does and how he presents himself through his verbal skills.

“I just love it and I think everyone else does. I think she should probably be the Roman Reigns of women’s wrestling right now. This is just my opinion.”

Speaking of criticism of Asuka’s English-speaking preaching skills, James saw no problem letting the empress loose in her mother tongue.

“I think we’re past that as a culture, as a society. I think it’s totally fine if he speaks in his mother tongue and we subtitle it.

“I think that’s how we do it now where he goes and you don’t know what he’s saying but you know he’s saying something that doesn’t sit well with you.”

Asuka most recently competed on the December 12, 2022 edition of Monday Night RAW in a loss to Rhea Ripley.
