The Panthers will have to move $3 million in salary if Duclair is ready to return, and they can move him if they’re out of the playoffs.

What will the Flames think of Tarasenko and the coaches? Daryl Sutter Can coexist? It will look good on paper.

The devil is only those who cannot choose Timo Mayer

Sportsnet: Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek on 32 Thoughts: The Podcast – Goodbye, Gabby on San Jose Sharks pending RFA Timo Meier and New Jersey Devils.

** NHLRumors.com transcription

Marek: “Timo Meyer, the last thing you said on Saturday.”

Friedman: “Some reporters in San Jose went to ask him, and you know, he kind of, he didn’t say no, but I think it’s generally understood that if San Jose goes to a position where they’re somewhere close, Meier and his agent, who Claude Lemieux will be allowed to speak to the group.

As far as I know, no one has been allowed to do this yet, but I think the Devils like Meyer. Obviously, I don’t think they’re the only ones but I do… the other teams in the East expect the Devils to do something big. So we’ll see if that happens but I think Meyer is definitely one of their favorite guys.

Marek: “New Jersey is going to corner the market for Swiss hockey players? whether it Nico hissier or Jonas SeigenthalerAre they going to bring Timo Meyer into the mix as well?

Friedman: “Now they have to find a way Roman Josey.

Marek: “Here you go. Good luck with that.”
