National team duty forces Brooke, Rashid to miss HBL PSL 8

Due to their engagement with the English team, English cricketers Harry Brook and Adil Rashid will miss the eighth edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Their teams, Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans will select their replacements in the January 25 replacement draft.

Tim David, Jason Roy, and Moeen Ali are partially available, subject to national team selection. Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan may miss a few matches, while Alex Hales and David Miller are also partially available.

Other teams will make partial substitutions for unavailable players.

PSL 8 will begin on February 13 with a match between defending champions Lahore Qalandars and 2021 champions Multan Sultans.

The replacement draft of PSL 8, which was initially scheduled for January 24, has been rescheduled for January 24 due to the nationwide power outage.
