Mohammed Shami, the Indian pacer was ordered by a Kolkata court on Monday to pay Rs 1.3 lakh a month to his estranged wife Hasin Jahan. Of the Rs 1.30 lakh, Rs 50,000 will be Hasin Jahan’s personal maintenance and the remaining Rs 80,000 will be the maintenance of their daughter who lives with him.

Mohammad Shami ordered by Calcutta court to pay 1.3 lakh rupees per month to estranged wife Hasin Jahan
His lawyer Mriganka Mistry told the court that as per the Indian pacer’s income tax return for the financial year 2020-1, his annual income in that financial year was more than Rs 7 crore and based on that, the claim was made for the monthly allowance. 10 lakh allowance was not unfair.
However, Mohammed Shami’s lawyer Salim Rahman claimed that Hasin Jahan himself has a stable source of income working as a professional fashion model, so the demand for this high allowance amount is not justified.
Hasin Jahan has been separated from his daughter for a long time due to a dispute with the pacer. On Monday, January 23, a Kolkata court ordered Indian pacer Mohammed Shami to pay Rs 1.30 lakh a month as maintenance to his ex-wife Hasin Jahan.
Finally, after hearing both sides, the lower court, on Monday, fixed Rs 1.30 lakh per month. While expressing gratitude for the court’s order, Hasin Jahan claimed that he would have been relieved if the monthly maintenance amount was higher. There was no response from the Indian pacer till the time of writing this report.
Hasin Jahan launched a sneak attack against Mohammed Shami during the Asia Cup 2022
Hasin Jahan shared a picture on social media in September last year after the Indian team’s victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022. Hardik pandiawho led India to victory with a six and there he launched a sneak attack against Mohammed Shami, who was not in the Indian team.
“Congratulations. A memorable win. Thanks to our Tigers for helping the country win. It had to happen; The reputation and honor of the country is protected by honest patriots rather than criminals and feminists,” his post read at the time.
The post sparked outrage among fans and many criticized Hasin Jahan for his veiled attack on Mohammed Shami. Hasin Jahan will take the matter to the High Court for further payment. Alipore court judge Anindita Ganguly gave the verdict on Monday, January 23. He fought Mohammed Shami by accusing him of adultery and domestic abuse.
