Killeen also shares some thoughts on her recent foray into stardom and more.
Below are highlights of the interview where King touches on these topics along with his thoughts
“I received an e-mail from [Sumie Sakai], actually. yes It’s crazy to me that, going back to paying attention to people, before I booked with New Japan in New York, I had never met. [Sumie]. So I got an e-mail from him saying, ‘Hey, we have a booking in New York. I really want to recommend you. Let’s do it.’ I was like, ‘Okay. I have not met you. You are incredible. I love your wrestling. I’ve heard nothing but good things about you as a person and you want to help me and book me here?’ It was incredible and it spoke to all the work that was being done.”
To be a free agent:
“Yeah. I’m still a free agent. There’s a possibility that there’s another company I’m going to pop up at. Maybe. Maybe. I’m returning. [rep] Next year in New Japan. I think I’m allowed to tell you this. I don’t know if I will work with them next year. The goal right now is to work in places I haven’t been to yet. I want to get back to more intergender wrestling. I haven’t done it in a minute and I miss it because I told some funny stories early in my career in intergender wrestling and I want to do it again. We are on a journey to see what happens. We will end up wherever we end up.”
