Kurt Angle reveals that a chair shot from Brock Lesnar broke his neck for the third time

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently took to his The Kurt Angle Show podcast, where he discussed how both Chris Benoit and himself took a massive chair shot from “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar during a match in 2003, but Chris told Brock Match the chair to swing sideways to reduce the impact on his neck.

Kurt Angle says:

“Well, Brock Lesnar hit me in the head with a chair and he took it. I mean, when I tell you he brings it, he really brings it. The thing is, me and Chris Benoit both got hurt by Brock’s chair that night. Chris, before the match started, he said to Brock, ‘Hey, swing over my head because I’ve had neck surgery, and I don’t want you to come straight up.’

Kurt Angle also discussed how he forgot to tell Brock to swing the chair to the side and this caused him to hit the top of his head and break his neck a third time.

Kurt Angle says:

“I didn’t tell Brock. So he hits Benoit in the side, and Benoit’s neck is fine. “He went up and hit me on the top of the head as hard as he could, and I broke – three broken vertebrae. I had bone chips in my neck, and I had two discs that slipped in my spine. So I kind of messed myself up again. This was the third time I broke my neck.
