Mohammed Shami, an Indian fast bowler, produced a ripper delivery in the first over to dismiss New Zealand opener Finn Allen.

Shubman Gill’s double century and Mohammad Siraj’s four-wicket haul helped India win the first ODI in Hyderabad. Michael Bracewell gave it his all with a 78-ball 140, but the Blackcaps fell behind by 12 runs. For the second ODI, both the teams are heading to the Shaheed Bir Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.

Another high-scoring match is expected, and the pitch is predicted to help the batters. After collapsing in the first game, both teams have a lot going for them in the middle order and New Zealand’s inexperienced bowling lineup is undoubtedly hurting them.

Hyderabad had plenty of runs, with Michael Bracewell almost matching Shubham Gill’s double century. Bracewell gave India a reality check after putting the visitors on the ropes, with the left-hander nearly pulling off a miracle victory.

A double century, a century and a fifty scored for a total of 686 runs and the bowlers, barring Mohammad Siraj, did not hide. The series has now shifted to Raipur, where the first One Day International will be held. India will be looking to win the series, while the visitors will be hoping to keep the series alive.
