Indian cricket team won the toss and elected to bowl first in the second ODI against New Zealand in Raipur. Both teams made no changes to their lineups. The Men in Blue continued with the spin pairing of Kuldeep Yadav and all-rounder Washington Sundar.
The New Zealand cricket team was left reeling as the visitors slumped to 56-6 in 19 overs. The batsmen looked clueless against the pair of Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj. The batsmen were not keen on breaking boundaries as they managed just 15 runs in the power-play over.
Kuldeep Yadav almost takes blinders
At the end of 23 overs, New Zealand’s score was 67-6 with Glenn Phillips scoring 22 off 33 balls while Mitchell Santner was 6 off 14 balls. Kuldeep Yadav was bowling the 24th over, on the 3rd ball of the over, Santner tried to hit the ball over Kuldeep Yadav’s head where Kuldeep Yadav misjudged it, and in doing so he crashed into the stumps and the ball fell.

Critical phase for New Zealand
New Zealand on the way to collapse. All eyes will be on Glenn Phillips as he needs to ensure he turns his start into a big one. New Zealand will hope that the pair of Phillips and Santner will last till the end of 40 overs which will give the team a chance to post a target of around 200 runs.
Skipper Rohit Sharma did not introduce Washington Sundar in the innings which is quite surprising. Looks like Sundar will be given 4-6 overs as the seamers are getting plenty of support. The Men in Blue need to wrap up the innings quickly as we have seen many times that low scoring matches can be risky.
