With his astonishing century, Rohit equaled Ricky Ponting’s famous record for the longest Test innings. In terms of players with the most ODI centuries, Rohit is now just behind Sachin Tendulkar And Virat Kohli.

In the third ODI between India and New Zealand at the Holkar Stadium in Indore, Rohit Sharma scored his 30th ODI century. After New Zealand won the toss and elected to field first, India got off to a terrific start, with Rohit reaching the milestone in just 82 balls. The opening combination made a pair of 200 runs.

With this feat, Rohit has now scored 30 ODI centuries. Ricky Ponting, who has 30 ODI tons, is now third in the list of players with most tons in ODI cricket history. Rohit is third in the all-time list of players with the most tons in the 50-over format, behind only Virat Kohli (46) and Sachin Tendulkar (50).

Rohit Sharma holds the record for most double centuries in ODI history:
Rohit’s most recent ODI century came against Australia at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore in January 2020. During a Test match against England at the famous Oval Stadium in September 2021, he scored his last century in international cricket.
With three scores of 200 or more, Rohit has the most double centuries in ODI cricket history. He is the only player in the world to achieve this feat five times.

While three-figure scores have been slow to come, Rohit has shown great form recently and scored fifties against Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and New Zealand in the second ODI.
