Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 is going to start on February 10 which will be the 8th edition. This tournament is expected to be an interesting one as this is the first time that South Africa is going to host the T20 World Cup where we can expect competition between bat and ball as well.
After the inaugural 2009 T20 WC, England Women did not win the championship. England is one of the most consistent teams in the history of T20 World Cup. England could not win the crucial moments of the match which wasted all the hard work.
Danny Watt in T20 World Cup
Danny Watt was interacting with BBC and was asked about the upcoming T20 WC. “I was trying to count how many World Cups I’d been to, but I couldn’t really remember. Every World Cup I get selected is always a special moment and I never take it for granted.” Danny Watt says.
Danny Watt on T20 WC preparations
Danny Watt was asked about the team and its preparations. “We had a great tour in the Caribbean. [Jon Lewis] Whatever we do is always trying to install in our head to take the positive option and that will give us the best chance to beat anyone. We have to stick to our plan, take each game as it comes, stay calm and relaxed.” Danny Watt says.
“People can get a bit nervous in the World Cup. Now I have the experience of knowing how things are possible in the World Cup compared to a normal international game, it’s different, it’s really weird. It’s all about, you know mentally you can do it, but if we stick together as a team and support each other and have fun, then we’ll have a good chance.” she added.
