Buff Bagwell Opens Up About His Sobriety – Wrestling Inc.

Buff Bagwell discusses the transformation of sobriety and why he’s having more success with it these days. “I moved into something I’d never done before, called aftercare,” Bagwell says. “It’s something I’ve always thought, and I’ve learned with addiction, that 30 days is not enough. You always try and think, ‘Well, I did 30, so I’m good now,’ and I did it three or four times like that. , and that’s not right.”

Bagwell says he’s doing something he didn’t know he could do. An example he used was sleeping through the night without medication. He said he had a pill for everything and when combined with alcohol it became a “crazy world”.

The former WCW star went on to say that he always thought he realized getting sober after completing several 30-day recovery programs, but he really didn’t. He has been feeling better for a long time thanks to the Bagwell aftercare program and a great support system.

Bagwell also said that when his WCW days ended with alcohol and drugs he tried to fill the void left behind, but today things are much different.

“Now, it feels like I’ve filled it with family, God, love, sobriety, and I’ve never replaced that void with those things before, but that’s what it took to get to where I am, even in the early stages that I’m at now,” Bagwell said. “It’s really getting started, man.”
