Australia Women will take on Pakistan Women in the first T20I of the three-match series at North Sydney Oval on Tuesday (January 24). Australia clean-swept Pakistan in the ODI leg of the white-ball tour with a dominant all-round display and are clear favorites to win the T20I as well. Beth Mooney top scored with 191 in the ODI series and young opener Pheobe Lichfield made a big impact with 154 runs.
Pakistan team struggled to collect big in the first two ODIs but scored 235 runs in the last match chasing a big target of 337 runs. Star all rounder Nida Dar Top scored with 112 runs for the Women in Green and also took two wickets but the difference in quality was clearly on display throughout the ODI series.
In T20Is, the two teams last faced each other at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in August where Australia recorded a 44-run win while defending 160 runs. They have won three of their last five T20 matches against Pakistan with two matches washed out due to rain.
