Good luck GillThe recent form looks good for the Indian cricket team with the ODI World Cup at home in a few months. The young opener scored his fourth ODI century in 21 matches when he scored 112 runs against New Zealand in Indore on Tuesday. He currently averages 73.76 in the 50-over format. As Gill touched the 112-run mark in the Indore match, he joined the Pakistan captaincy. Babar AzamJoint record for most runs (360) in a three-match ODI series. Test format also has tons of gills.
In a video interview aired on Star Sports on Tuesday, Shubman was asked the tricky question of choosing between Sachin Tendulkar And Virat Kohli. 23-year-old Shubman replied: “I think Virat Bhai…Sachin sir is why I started playing cricket because my father was a huge fan of him. When he retired, I was too young to understand cricket. When I started cricket When I start to understand a little bit more, I will say Virat Bhai because I learned a lot from him as a batsman.”
Talking about the third ODI, Rohit Sharma Scored his first ODI century in three years and Shubman Gill continued his explosive run to take India to 385 for 9. The duo put on a 212-run opening stand as Rohit (101 off 85 balls) reached three figures for the first time since January 2020. Gill (112 off 78) scored his fourth ODI hundred.
Rahul Dravid On the eve of the match, he joked that the bowlers did not want to bowl as soon as they landed at Indore because of the batter-friendly conditions. The batting great had a point. New Zealand’s batsmen rejoiced even while chasing Devon Conway Score a ton.
