In a video posted on BCCI TV, Rohit was seen having a conversation with Gill and Kishan, where the Indian captain said, “Ishan ap ne 200 banane ke bad tin match nahi khel. (Ishan you scored 200 runs but didn’t play the next three matches. )”

To which Ishaan replied, “Bhai captain to aap the, aap hi ne haat diya. (You are the captain bro, you removed me.)”

Ishaan’s reaction left both Rohit and Gill in splits as they openly laughed at his hilarious reaction.

Ishan scored his maiden ODI double century in the third match against Bangladesh in December last year. However, he was benched for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, which India ended up with a 3–0 clean sweep.

Coming into the first ODI against New Zealand, India looked set to coast to victory with New Zealand in deep trouble at 131-6 while chasing 350 runs after opener Gill scored just his 10th double century in ODI history.

Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami and disciplined first spell Mohammad Siraj Limiting New Zealand before Bracewell’s late fireworks gave them hope of a sensational victory.
