Friday’s duel
Blair Orr (The Citadel) vs. Drew West (Gardner-Webb) 125: SoCon has a clear-cut top-two at this weight. Both are seniors capable of threatening and possibly stealing an NCAA spot from the current leaders.
#16 Breton Lee (Minnesota) vs. #19 Derek Gilcher (Indiana) 157: On the one hand we have a guy who is coming off a season-ending injury in 2021-22 (Lee) and has had quite a few problems so far. Other features one of the conference’s breakout wrestlers (Gilcher) moving on and winners of 10 of the last 11.
